On the Inside
The Pgh G20 Summit website has a volunteer sign-up sheet:
https://www.pittsburghg20.org/Volunteer.aspx
If you want to make an impact you have to reach people AT the summit right? You want to make some serious news and get your message out why not volunteer to do something like work as a translator?
Get on the inside, get out your message, and disrupt this event.
Even just signs up to act as an ambassador where you can tell members of the media and the G20 staffers where to "find things". Tell them where they can find neighborhoods abandoned by the city, tell them where they can find corporate handouts on the North Shore, where they are ignoring the people of the neighborhood, tell them where they can find CMU's defense contracts that help the school and industry profit off of war. Point all of the people you can in the direction of the mass protests.
As an ambassador you will have access to the international media which will otherwise all but ignore you and your message if you are barricaded 10 blocks away from them.
[So that people are aware, translators usually get background checked
and screened. —PGRP Materials Working Group]
